Dr. Kevin Segal is a Chiropractic Physician with over 25 years of clinical experience, serving patients in Milwaukie and the greater Portland area since 2001. He founded Back In Shape Chiropractic to provide personalized, conservative care for people dealing with pain, injuries, and mobility limitations — whether from an accident, a work injury, or everyday wear and tear.
Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Segal earned a bachelor's degree in biology and spent time working in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as working as a personal fitness trainer. That combined background — science, healthcare, and hands-on movement work — continues to shape how he approaches patient care today: evidence-based, whole-person, and grounded in how the body actually moves and functions.

Dr. Segal's approach is conservative and personalized — care is built around what he finds during your evaluation, not a one-size-fits-all protocol. He works with patients recovering from car accidents, work injuries, and everyday back and neck pain, with a particular focus on identifying what's actually driving a patient's symptoms rather than just managing them.
He's passionate about evidence-based care, and believes in treating every patient — regardless of background — with the same respect and attention. Outside the Office
Dr. Segal has been happily married for over 20 years and has two children. He and his family share their home with their adorable Labradoodle. When he's not seeing patients, he stays physically active playing tennis and going to the gym regularly, as well as biking, hiking, kayaking, and skiing. He's also active in the community, volunteering at the local food bank and helping with tree planting efforts.
